We got 8" of snow yesterday. Temp was 17* when I got up this AM. My road hasn't been plowed yet. Fishing can wait.

Wow! That's a nice catch ! 4 fish in one trip is the best I have done this year. Most trips there has only been 2 of us on my boat. I only got skunked once this year but have been only getting 1 or 2 fish per outing. I work with 1/2 dozen or so guys that fish, and their doing about the same as me. Sure a lot different than the near limit catches we were getting last year.

i wanna also try this Salmon O Rama thingy I'm sure it's been discussed but sure would be nice to have a weigh station in Kewaunee/Algoma area. Any talk of this for 2014 Salmon Rama? I don't know if it will happen or not. But, there was a talk of a weigh station north of Kewaunee. Not sure if it was here or over at GLA.. IF Salmon O Rama adds a weigh in station near Kewaunee I will likely fish it.

Talk to harbor master at Kewaunee Marina. Good guy who gets things done and they have Internet connection plus wi fi at the marina. If they would mount a camera on the marina office, wouldn't that be about the same that Fox 11 has on the Salmon Harbor office. All you see is the harbor but you can tell if there is fog if you can't see the lighthouse. I think what your saying is correct. The Fox 11 cam is nice. But we cant see the lake very well. What boaters need to see is live wave height and if its foggy or not. I live just east of Green Bay. The wind is often very different on the lake than at home.

A cam in/on the lighthouse pointed at the can would be nice.

You can get decent prices from Cabela's. I have a card that's good for $25 off if I spend $200. I may not use it as they have sent me better offers in the past. Being a club member can also help at times. When I need something my first stop is Fleet Farm, if they don't have it the I look elsewhere.

I'm sure I will go back to the store at some point. But if they continue to offer free shipping for club members I will continue to order on line and have it delivered to my door. They ship fast, often have my order in 2-3 days. No way in hell would I stand in line to get in a store, bar, or restaurant.

Its open for Club members. I stopped in after work. Wasn't overly impressed. The store is smaller than the other Cabelas I have been in. Fleet Farm and Sheels don't have any to worry about. Gun prices are very high. They have ammo. I passed on 250 rounds of 22LR for $54.
The fish mounts are nice. I don't see many of us locals shopping there very often.

Was out 7/20 pm. Only 1 release of down rigger, not sure if a fish tripped it or if a wave did it. Was shock that I didn't have to wait in line to load up. Was only 6-7 boats loading up when we left. Only 2 guys were cleaning fish.

I cant get my crew to go out fishing for the fireworks. It has nothing to do with the fire works and everything to do with the DNR and coast guard holding up the loading process. And no I have never gotten a ticket while fishing. I don't mind them being around, just don't see why they need to stop boaters while they are loading up and there is a long line waiting to load.

You may want to go easy on the beer. The fun police got more money just to look for drunken boaters. Seems like a waist of tax money to me.
In the am start in 100ish and work your way out till you find fish. In the pm go out as far as you feel comfortable and work your way in.
