Buy plenty of beer and head east....I would start +250 and aim for 700.

You may want to go easy on the beer. The fun police got more money just to look for drunken boaters. Seems like a waist of tax money to me.
In the am start in 100ish and work your way out till you find fish. In the pm go out as far as you feel comfortable and work your way in.

I'd say start at 300 and east. They aren't in shallow. At all.

I'll be down wed afternoon til fri morning....anyone have any advice for afternoon or/and morning.... thanx JP I've been over here since Saturday camping out, doing some boat projects, checking on the other boats (charter and private) success and generally relaxing. The weather and fishing have been poor with the charters getting 1 to 4 fish per outing and a lot of private smaller boats have stayed in due to heavy fog or been skunked. Possibility of hail and damaging winds tonight but Thursday and Friday look good. If I get out Thursday I will start in 350 at first light and be focusing on FF setups in the 30 - 80' water column with a silver horde plug SWR and 2 colors on the deepest rigger. Give me a call on 68 if you get a chance, boat name - Carla Kay.

I'd stay home. Been here since the 5th of July. Boated 14 fish between two boats. Was out this morning and did not have a release!!!

hard to get fish at home isn't it? what he said a bad day of fishing is better than a good day at work and as long as you can keep that in mind....and if your'e willing to only get a couple fish, hell you might just be the talk of the pier...'ya never know do what you know and hope for the best....#1 avoid the crowd, its likely they are just following each other then again, i'm just a weekend hack fishing when i can and haven't made a decision on the big pond this year yet, I'm,just fortunate i fish with folks who can catch fish better than me,

Buy plenty of beer and head east....I would start +250 and aim for 700. Probably good advice. Was out week of the 4th & rainbow fishing was OK out deep but salmon fishing was spotty at best. What was it that Mojo used to say "I'm no more than a weekend hack" so take my advice w/ a grain of salt. Good luck to ya
