With the Browns in the past I have run in-line boards....as many as you can with the number of people in the boat. 10'- 40'....or as shallow as you are willing to go. I like to run stick baits....pink, purple, bloody nose....toss em out and run with the hot color for the day. Bombers/deep divers on the deeper side of the boat. Good Luck!

Browns are hitting. Start shallow with small shallow crankbaits right off the beach 20-40' behind yellowbirds. Any color of chartruse, orange, gold or original black & silver Rapala, Thunderstick or Bomber Long A. The whole shoreline is good. Out of Algoma, most guys go from entry to Claybanks to the north or wayside to the south. Watch the weather! Small boats and big waves don't work! At least a VHF handheld & GPS- It gets foggy with no warning, cell phone with Sturgeon Bay CG and Kewaunee Co SD programed in. Punch in a waypoint for the Algoma and Kewaunee entry. Life Jackets & Flares!

What speed are you running? straight or zig-zag trolling or does it matter? what about flashers with peanut flies, any luck?

When I fish Browns, I like to do a lot of zig zagging....this will slow down and speed up your baits depending on the side they are on....if i notice they are hitting on the fast side....speed up....slow side....slow down. But a little Ziggy Zoggy never hurt!

I have never fished spring Browns but know plenty of guys on here that do. Scrapper has done it quite a bit. Maybe send him a PM.

If the lake calms tomorrow and the guys are willing to drive the 2 hours. Might try it, never did spring brown fishing, looking to try something different. The 9 year old is off school he seems willing to try.
Peace, Jason.

Well the wave forecast scared us away. Good luck to anyone who ventures out.
Peace, Jason.

We got 8" of snow yesterday. Temp was 17* when I got up this AM. My road hasn't been plowed yet. Fishing can wait.
