glad to hear you enjoyed them...this was the first year that we have put on the show for trout fest. We wanted to make sure it was a boomer!
I couldnt believe the boats that were staged to come in...that is what I wanted to see if anyone here was in the parade that was coming in..not to mention the coast guard checking vessels before the time we told them we needed the channel shut down...they must have stopped 10 boats in like 15 mins

knew we'd get held up at the channel so we kept trolling into the darkness we were about 5 miles away but my guests were able to watch the fireworks between bites and they watched the grand finale as we were yanking lines in... i think they were impressed

I cant get my crew to go out fishing for the fireworks. It has nothing to do with the fire works and everything to do with the DNR and coast guard holding up the loading process. And no I have never gotten a ticket while fishing. I don't mind them being around, just don't see why they need to stop boaters while they are loading up and there is a long line waiting to load.

We enjoyed the fireworks. We left our gear in the water until they were over and then motored in. They were impressive and lasted longer than I thought they would. The fish in the picture below didn't care much for the show though....... New boat record at just shy of 27 lbs. Too bad he didn't bring any friends/family to the party.

Nice fish ... caught in the dark? Well; I think we can call it dusk. I don't think it was dark enough for you to be scared yet:)...... I believe it was 9:10 or so when it hit. Even so, bad things almost happened. It went from the port rigger at 40 down and 20 back to under and behind the starboard board line that was 350 feet from rod to board on it's first run. It proceeded to go under the copper, then up to the surface on the other side. Like a good fish though, the next run was down and back towards the center of the boat clearing itself from the copper. The next manuver didn't happen until we had it up to the boat. We couldn't get it to come up the chute and it tried to swin past the boat outside of the dipsy, then went down and straight under the boat taking the dipsy wire with it. Then.......again.........like a good fish, it went down, back out the side and free from the dipsy and drifted to the back of the boat for the net job. We stopped on Tuesday and bought some of your wares from your lovely wife, but this guy didn't hit on the roadkill. He hit on a chrome flasher with green tape and a green glow fly. The roadkill seemed to work better earlier in the week up in SB.
