I think the chinook fishing will continue to be about as good as last year, especially if the number of natural fish is good. Couple brutal winters maybe hurt a bit but future year classes should be better.
It does make me sick to my stomach that they won't cut coho and lake trout stocks by 60% as well. With 3.5 million lakers and 3 million cohos being dumped in the lake every year, they are chowing a hell of a lot more alewives than a million chinooks.

We ended up going 14 for a bunch (I should stick to driving) ..
Three things we lost count of: 1) How many fish SteveO lost 2) How many times SteveO was picked on 3) How many times SteveO couldn't reach the top rod in the rod tree
Despite a bad landing percentage we still ended up with a decent catch. Number 15 was a small coho we released and number 16 was a nice rainbow that was shaken off Best Chance Too style behind the boat. Thanks to you guys for joining me, fun time (on a THURSDAY too!)

Thanks for going along SteveO. Nice day to start the year. The bite should really be on fire this holiday weekend and remain so at least until we get any major weather changes. Hope everyone can get out there and enjoy!

I need to see this jaws mount - sounds a little more diverse than the mount I have and may be easier to work with.... anything to make it easier

Take more pictures and shoot more video. It's my resolution EVERY year and it never pans out. Here is one day that we did actually get some action on film.... I wish I could shoot this much video on every trip, it's just usually the last thing I am thinking about when I have guests on board. I'd love to catch some of those red hot morning bite fire drills on film, I just don't have the time or mindset to mess with it. I need to hire a film crew for a trip or something. youtu.be/ZyGG6PoO1lI

As Thanksgiving approaches I am thankful for yet another great season on Lake Michigan. 2015 was nothing short of fantastic! Thanks to many great friends for many fun times! Highlight of the season has to be getting my boy out on the boat for a little cruse-can't wait till he's able to start cranking in fish! Although there were many other highlights as well. Some great trips with SteveO, phishy, pioneer, etc. Lowlight of the season was not entering the Kewaunee tourney. Happy Thanksgiving see you next summer! The fuzz.... Big sexy in action Hey who's that guy...

The bite is still good. Lots of fish around, just not as many four year olds as there were a few weeks ago. Careful in the fog.
