Plenty of fish out there yet, and as Steve O said, not many others on the water so that makes it even better!!! Nice catch of silver fish there SteveO

Growing up on lake superior we would do everything we could to AVOID catching them. They are more suicidal than cohos. Run a 9 line spread through a school of pinks and all 9 rods will go off every time.

I like how anchorman ( the duck) puts it. There aren't as many fish, but there are still millions of fish in the lake. The easy fishing, where you could just about put a hot dog on the rigger, is for the most part done. Now you have to adapt, hunt for fish, fine tune your spread. Maybe trailer more often to hot ports. Sounds like you recorded me, that's almost my exact words. Except for the last part about trailering to where the easy fishing is. I have no interest in that. You learn a lot more when you actually have to FISH for them sometimes.

We checked on Tony's, and Steve's boats. They were fine. I don't know Chris well enough to hop on his boat and look around. His boat appeared to be fine also
Thanks for watching out for us Dean. The DUCK survived the storm and was back to fishing Monday morning, with Brian boating a nice box full of silver 3 year olds and rainbows. Hope you have better weather next time you're in town!!!!

Tough for a lot of guys to make it when it's right in the middle of prime fishing season. Think they did that on purpose.... Also, I think the earlier meeting on Monday was much better attended.

Great time as always. Thanks to Captain Ks and Nikki and her team for all the hard work they continue to do each year. As far as fishing the bite for me was much slower than it was on Friday. Due to traffic I left the good water it wasn't worth dealing with the crowd, still got enough fish to make the kids happy. They had some trouble keeping fish hooked up but got the hang of it eventually. Had to cut them short and rip lines at 830am to get home to MN by 3pm, but the kids enjoyed their time on the boat. Sorry I missed the lunch at Captain Ks. "Most" of the fish. Boated a couple more right after the pic including a nice 13 lb rainbow.
