what do use for backing on copper? i did put on 30lb power pro, good or bad?? 300' of 45lb.

Braid because you can never have enough backing. I like a piece of mono spliced between that and the copper for clipping a planer to. I typically add 150 yds of 30 or 40lb braid and then fill the spool with mono.

I have used the new "Super" copper, and yet to have a strike on it. Granted I only used it for the last couple trips last year, but regular copper took fish with similar lures. As far as there being much of a difference; it was a little softer than regular copper but that being said it was more prone to kinking.. Right now I m going to stick with whats working for me. My two cents......

It was silver in color, I usually get my copper strait from Tim at Howie's.
