You may laugh, but it works walleye rigs with softcraws. pitch em and drag em close to the bottom gold blades work best.

What was described to me was what we called "weapons" when fishing on Lake Erie. These were supposed to imitate mayfly adults hatching and making their way to the surface. We caught perch and sheephead on this rig then, too. Although we dressed them with a bit of crawler on Erie, I understand a strip of cut bait workrd well here.
