Fished in all the trash that came into the lake out of the Chicago River from all the rain. Set up in 45 fow and headed NE to 65 fow. Trash didn't seem to bother the fish, took 9 kings, 1 coho, and 2 lakers. Lost another 7 fish. Kings and coho came on spoons, lakers came on dodger/fly.

Went out on Sunday, farther south of Navy Pier and went 13 for 21 in 55 to 70 fow. Glow spoons in a variety of colors took most fish on riggers 35 to 50 down and 8 and 10 color lead. Had 2 lakers, 1 steelie, 2 coho and 8 kings. Going out again this am 8/5 to see if the fish are still in the same area.

Slow yesterday, 9 for 16. Small kings and 2 coho in 55 to 75 fow. Dodger/fly only took 1 fish, spoons on riggers and 10 color took the rest.

Fished the same area today with the same results, just can't get past that 9 for something mark. Today was 6 steelies and 3 small kings. Tournament in the am, hope we can at least get those 9 in the boat again.

Well we did finally get past that number 9. Fished just a little farther north than the last couple of trips and ended up with our limit of steelies and kings in 55 to 75 fow. Most were taken in the top 40 fow on small spoons on lead or riggers.

Went back to the same area yesterday am with good success again. Took 2 coho, 2 steelie, 1 laker, and 10 kings. Side riggers 27 to 35 down with spoons were best, 5,8,10 color lead with spoons, j-13, spin doctor/fly took several, dipsey with meat rigs took fish. Good early in 55 to 70 fow and then moved out to 90 to 115 to finish the day.

We set lines about 6:15 and were on our way back in before noon. Most of our trips we are on the water the same hours as we are on tournaments.
