What a great time in Port over the weekend!!!

Fished with my long time friend, Steve. It was a blast talking with Gilligan, Scrapper, Clam, Krash, Mojo, Compulsive and others via Channel 7. Instead of only fishing with a 6 line spread, it was like we had a 100 line spread. (And that's not even counting Jackpot's color commentary Sunday morning. Truly great info and it was really a big help.

Great LM shorelunch on Saturday with Scrapper, Gilligan, Clam, Krash, & Scott. Great brats Scrapper and thanks for the Monster cookies Krash. I grilled some salmon. Steve said he couldn't determine what caused his belly to ache so much - splurging on all the food or laughing so hard!

Breakfast at Harry's Sunday AM was a great way to finished it off ! And it was great to meet Carolina Transplant in person. Steve summed it up: " The fellowhip with all the guys makes PW very special!

The Results:

Friday evening from 6 to 9PM. We went 4 for 6

2-3 on rigger with the PK dark green/light green ladder back 87 & 69 FOL in 140-148 FOW.

0-1 on outside board- 1oz keel wt w 00 dodger & purple peanut

Sunday AM 4-5 4 cohos (It was sure fun listening to Clam & Compulsive loading up their boxes..... we struggled for a long time & managed a couple of cohos right as we were pulling lines to make it a respectable morning.)

0-1 rigger SWR down 130 in 171FOW - Pro King dark green/light green ladder back

1-1 8 color with the gold&black Pro King Laddr back 150FOW

Awesome job John and Steve. Wish I had more time at the lake that weekend.

Joey told me to say hi and he thanks you for the soccer well wishes. His team won both games this weekend and he blasted a goal from way outside over the keeper's head while playing "D". Your well wishes helped I'm sure.

OMG ----- you get an "A+" in detailed trip reporting!! You may not believe this, but my weekend report is gonna be pretty sparse because my memory banks overloaded by the time we hit breakfast on Sunday morning....

It was a pleasure seeing you and Steve again for your first of several trips to Port this fishing season --- couldnt have asked for a better lake and for better company on and off the lake....

Thanks to you and Steve for preparing the delicious fish and the fixings on Saturday, and for making this such a weekend to remember......the laughs at lunch Saturday and breakfast Sunday were pretty much non-stop!

Cant wait to see you again for your next stay down here......tell Steve it was indeed a pleasure!
