After fishing bad grounds north of filter for about 2 hours, I trolled between the north and main gap in about 125-140 FOW. Picked up 4 cohos and a laker, missed two.
Riggers popped twice each, one at 42 the other at 81. Caught a nice size coho on a rig with 9 colors out and a 1oz dive bomb to boot.
Bloody nose again was the hot lure, with two coming off a dancing anchovy...
Ran a dipsy per side in place of a board, no tangles, but again no fish either..... You guys are messing with me about those damn things...

I'm guessing that with your spoons came a long stretch between them and the rigger- thus, stealth presentation is what's working. Divers are anything BUT stealth so often times if your long lines are firing, your divers won't and it's time to pull them and add boards.
Yeah, we're gonna beat this horse to death. ;D

I only run my spoons 15-20' behind the balls..... I am determined to get dipsys to perform and start filling the box... I ran the dipsys on the farthest setting, I use a snubber then about 4-6' of a leader, is that wrong?

Goto a 8' leader. How far were they out?

LBL,if you'd take Capt Clam up on his offer to come fish with you one day during the week, I guarantee he'll have the dipsy firing for you in no time!
Carolina
p.s. Good job on boating the ones you did today. The lake was beautiful, but from what I've gathered so far, it was not that fast a bite going on.....

The port side was 140 LOC and starboard was 180 LOC.
The lake was glass today, and we did work for the bites we got, they defintely werent jumping in the boat..
Yeah I really need to fish with someone who knows how to run dipsys..

I think they are size 1, they are not the largest ones and they are not the small ones. 81 down was my hottest rigger so that was the depth I was trying to get the most lines too. I had some action which was good. This was maybe my third trip of actually trying to use the dipsys so it's still a learning process...

LBL, shorten the leads up on those Dipseys! Start one at 45 loc and the other at 65 loc. Let them out till then get hit. Maybe 10loc every 5 minuets! Maybe even less!
