Went out Wednesday morning in MC and couldn't get the boat in the water anywhere at 5am. Is this normal or just the wrong day. When I was little, my dad would put in at this time. Did things change?

Indiana has decided that having casinos is more important than maintaining the precious Indiana portion of Lake Michigan.Washington Park ramps are pathetic and overpriced-Trail Creek Marina s**** and is not open early enough for fisherman and has very limited parking and Sprague Marina sits unused.Portage is a nice facility but too expensive and no annual pass.Pastrick is expensive as well.I buy an annual ramp pass at St Joe Mi for $24-it is a shame since I have a lifetime Indiana License but its cheaper to buy a Michigan License and annual pass than to pay for the Indiana access sites.also much quicker access to deep water and most of Indiana's salmon and trout are stocked in the St Joe river anyway

Portage Marina sells an annual pass for $75 for Portage residents and $150 non-Portage residents.
