I received some tragic news the other day about one of our fellowfisherman. For those who know Scott Usher (former ,Thanks Dad) and don't know about what happened to him, here it is. Scott had a major stroke last September and is unable to care for himself. His short term memory is gone to the point that therapy is useless. His wife and two teenage children are devastated and could use all the support and prayers you can give. For those who don't know him, he loved to fish and was a dedicated father and husband. God Bless them!

Scott and I used to be dock mates at howard Westermans boat docks in the middle 1990's I beleive he had a starcraft boat.I also beleive he was a correction officer with the Lake County corrections dept.A real nice guy who would share fishing info all the time.He loved trolling and Perch fishing.My prayers and best wishes to him and his loved ones

Yes, that's him alright and he was still working there when this occurred. The boys are thinking bout putting a fund raiser together for him. Maybe a fall king fishing tournament. i'll keep it posted on any further info about this.

hey gerry this is dave from "quiet time" me and scott fished together all the time in fact you went out with us a couple of times . great guy i knew he had hurt his back and sold the boat i talked to him last august . let me know about what is going on i think his wife name is lori. dave

Yes Dave, I sure do remember you. We all had a fun day when we fished together. His wife's name is Lori. I will keep you posted.

My families thoughts & prayers go out to Scott & family. Scott was one of my backup First Mates when I was chartering. He also made some great "Scotty"flies & spoons. CAPNCOOP
