I need advice on a GPS-Fish Locator Combo...with a color screen...price range approximately $500-$600...Garmin/Lowrance...or ???..prefer it to be as user friendly as possible...also 12 volt power ...I will be using it on my boat...thanks..Don...

Hummin Bird makes nice units.
I would suggest built in GPS with the ability to add maps into the unit if you fish local lakes, if you are mainly using it for LM then the maps are not worth the money as you dont rely on bottom contour to fish. I use a 363c and have not had any problems and it is very easy to use.

I have a Lowrance 522C and really like it. Has a built in GPS antenna so no external antenna needed.

I really like my humminhgbird I think the newer model is the 788ci the color screen is great a,d theuy are very user friendly
