Algoma KD

]I will be fishing the whole KD, unless its to bumpy. I sit on ch 11 so if you want to compare notes give a shout. Plan to give a report on here each day also.This one was unofficial 24.5 from week ago. Some big fish out there this year

I am planning on heading out this wed, not sure where I will be fishing yet but I'll be camping somewhere. Likely fishing Wed eve to Sat or Sunday depending on how it goes.

Day one of KD. Lake was bumpy in my smaller boat so we were off the water by 6:30. Only bite was on last pole, 100ft wire dipsy as we were pulling in 110 ft of water. Did get 3 last night, 2 on 100 ft dip and one on 120 dip, both with F/F. 2 bows in 150 and smaller salmon in 110. Weather doesnt sound good for tonight or tomorrow.

Day 1 pm to ruff, day 2 am to ruff and fogged in. SE wind must have brought in some cooler water, so that should help.

I ended up fishing in Kewaunee. Wed night I fished for 10 minutes before getting chased off my storms. Thur morning I caught probably my PB steel head in 125 (10 color MGD Pro King) Thur night only a shaker. Fri Morning 1 for 2 about a 10 lb king 150ft Rigger swr down 50 (Moonshine don't know the name orange and black paint) Didn't want to deal with storm and boat traffic Sat so I pulled the plug a day early. Day 3 weather is still not co-oping. Suppose to blow big time out of the west today. Cooler water now so hope it sets up for the rest of the week. Sure would like to be able to start giving fishing reports

Finally we got out. Pretty slow but got a nice salmon on 3 color with pearl yek. Bow on 5 color with F/F. One other hit on same 3 color. Bites came in 130. Cold water, 45 in 80 and slowly warmer deeper 51 in 175. Thinking in will get better as the week progreses

Day 5. Fished solo as its been slow so didnt want anyone to come over just for a boat ride. Was bumpy which can be challenging solo. One 10lb salmon in 100ft on wire dip, F/F out 100. May take a day off after tomorrow a.m. unless things pick up

Day 6 Fogged in out to 50ft and bumpy so heading home to mow lawn.Hope to get back thrusday evening depending on forecast. Did get a 17lber last night solo.Wire dip F/F out 100 in 120. Always a adventure netting with dip solo. Had shaker on downrigger, down 41 with happy meal spoon. Happy meal is one of my favorites.

did you happen to get out last night? If so, how did you do? We ended up 11-13 but only put 9 in the box...we were able to release two smaller fish

Did not fish last night. This morning 4/4. All bites in 140 to 160. 2 on 100 ft dip with green on green F/F. 2 on rigger SWR down 41 with green dolphin spoon. Lake was finally pretty nice. Sounds like a may not be real smooth in the morning so no 10000.00 first place prize for us this year.
