Took advantage of the good conditions in the evening and ran out 18 miles SE from algoma to see if we could put some fish in the boat. Furthest out we've been. But with the reports about fish in deep water and the good weather we couldn't pass up the chance with our 17.5 ft boat.
Went 5/15. Set lines in 700 and stayed between 700 and 780 doing circles on some new waypoints. Got a couple king bites early between 5 and 630pm. 10 color still producing for kings and bows with a g/b flasher aqua howie fly. Same rig on the wire dipsey 80fol also fired but lost a couple. Last king came at dark on a 4 color with MS Blue Knight. 5 bites were kings the rest bows. Couldn't get a bow on a high line. Threw everything orange and gold at em to no avail. White spoons with rattles/spinners on em behind our high dipsey produced really well though. 3.5 80 to 100 fol out. Finished 2 kings (15,8) and a few quality bows between 7 and 11lbs. 2.3 to 2.5 at the ball worked well. 48 degrees 30 down. 62on the top.

Sure hope things change before the KD. If not Team Griff n Fishn won't get out much and I'm sure a lot of other guys to. To big of a chance to run to 600 or more for us.
