For once the forecast that was not correct was in our favor as we did not get blown off as early as predicted. Started in the dark looking for a king bite which didn't happen early for us,but did manage one shortly after daylight. Trying out a new fly that was a gift, it worked sort as it got bit and had a couple 400 plus ft runs, definitely a large fish. Unfortunately we only wound in a flasher with 23 and 15/16's of heavy line behind flasher. wondered around from 105 to 230 picking off one here and there.Ended up 11 for 20 mix of coho, king and bows letting one back to grow up. Surface to 75 down. No presentation stood out as a hot rod. Mix of spoons(small) and ff. Also lost a hook and split ring off a spoon.
question of the day, How many fish can you catch on one bait before you change out terminal connections?

For what it's worth I snapped another king Friday am on my fly lead. I then took the spool of new Seagaur STS 50lb an tested it in the boat only to have it snap instantly. I've contacted the company now.

I lost a split ring and hook off a moonshine crab face rv std. Not sure what brand the leader brand was on fly as it was a gift this spring.

Great catch, the fly lead seems like bad luck. I’ve FF that are well over 10 years old, previously run by a charter captain. I had a bad spool of Berkley vanish, two seasons ago that caused two lost fish, before I threw it away. I guess a guy has to give them a pull test each time out.
