Headed down to port yesterday started setting lines at 4:15 in 80 ft, st 4:45 we doubled up as the wire and braid dipsey took off, while fighting those fish a laker hit the down rigger and swam into the wire dipsey, we lost the laker but landed a 16 and 10 lb king. We Kept working 90-120ft and had two other drive by’s, at 7:15 the wire took off again and we landed a 19 lb king. We spent the next three hours trolling the same water in hopes of more kings but came up empty. We turned out and at 140 doubled on rainbows after landing those two fish we started turning to get back in as we were in 175. On our way back we tripled in 150 and took two more hits as we fought those fish, we landed those three after a large tangle that made my 150 copper into a 100. We worked our marks but never got back into the school. We ended the day 10-18 with many other drive by’s. outside of 160 the water got cold fast down to 48 on the surface, our hits came in 50-53 degree water. Green and chrome on the flasher fits stood out, silver and blue stood out on the spoons for rainbows. The size of the rainbows was nice with the biggest being 14.5 lbs. copiers were more active than the lead core 70,100,150, all took bites 3 and 5 colors as well. 1.9-2.3 sog was best.
