Had a report that two days ago good action north of the filter in 75 to 90 feet of water. Set up in 75 feet of water at the filter marking lots of bait. Took a N. North East course out to 85fow no bites so headed back north west. Continuous bait and finally found some fish. Worked 85 to 75 feet of water Northwest and then back south east and never left that area. Surface was 49 to 52° and down 35 it was 48.5°. Current was about 0.3mph from the north.
Almost never out of bait with lots of hooks throughout the water column. Guessing they were chinooks but they were not interested. Could not keep the fish hooked up very well with lots of drive-bys going 21 for in the neighborhood of 35 . Everything seemed to work but they liked tuna best. Depth raiders speed 2.4 to 2.5 most of the time, a little faster than I typically troll but I had no dodgers out. Sure wish one of the many big hooks would have ripped. 10.5 Bow biggest and missed his brother. 6.5# king with adipose a nice rip. Released a coho clearing lines with 2 bows, 2 LT, 1 king and the rest nice fat coho. Probably 13-15 drive bys. I need a counter for them.
Looking for a crew for tomorrow because it’s hard to pass up this kind of action. I can sleep some other day.
