I finally completed the set up for the salmon assassin this weekend. I replaced all plastic rod holders, added 4 off the metal tite lok tube holders, added the board across the back which really didn’t take as long as I though it was going to. I now can run 8 lines confidently, however most the time I only fish with 1 other person so I mainly fish 6. With the new set up, I am either gun stack the riggers or put out another set of boards when I fish with a third person.

Do you keep your riggers straight back or out at 45 deg angles??

I started running them straight back, to keep the sides open for the leadcore and occasional dipsy

I would personally get them out to the sides a bit. Even with a full 8'+ beam on my boat my riggers can find eachother in the current. You shouldn't have any kind of issues getting divers out over the top of a rigger set out to the side, and you'll thank yourself for the extra seperation between riggers- especially if you net out the back of the boat.

What made you go with the tite lok tube holders? I'm looking for some rod holders and don't know what brand to get?

I concur with Champ that you'd want the riggers at least 45 degrees to the side. I run my boom riggers (4' arms) straight out to the side (90 degrees) and run 2 divers per side with no issues.
Also, with the diver holder in your 2nd pic (on port side), if you could get it 1 more click parallel to the water, it would help your diver program. The one on the starboard side from your 1st pic looks OK.
Are the other 2 rod holders that are more center ship for boards? If so, I'm assuming you run them more straight up than you have them for the pics?

I went with the tite lok because I used them in the past and they held up well, they are priced at 1/2 that of the big jon holders, You can position them in any direction you would need. So quality, price, and function is why I bought them. I would love to have the 4 more big jon holders but $32.99 versus $69.99 was an easy choice.
I never had a problem with my riggers finding each other before, I did buy the swivel bases so repositioning them is not problem. The set up still needs tweaky but for right now, riggers straight back has been working out.

Love the looks of that.. I like my Tite Lok rod holders too. Added 4 more last year to put 3 to a side besides my dual rigger holders. I agree with you.. would love Berts or Big jon but budget really had me lookin elsewhere. I liked the versatility of the Tite Loks and found a set of 4 used after posting a "wanted ad" yeaaa. Personnally I keep the back open and run off the side.. But everyone has their preferances. I made the tracs myself "with help from a friend" from some scrap..

Can't go wrong with Tite-Loks. I also like DOTLINE but are a little pricey.
