It was my pleasure to work with Gilligan on insurance for his 1992 Bayliner Trophy with all the electronic upgrades- radar, auto pilot, plotter, sonar, radio, etc. ( Tony, you really have a great boat and setup.) We got everything set up to his satisfaction and he asked, "What's covered?" I drilled down on fire, theft, collision, coverage for the lower unit, wreck removal, emergency service, etc. Then he asked, " Well what's not covered?" As we read through the exclusions, I was amazed at one of the changes in the policy. What's not covered: *Normal wear and tear, such as rust, corrosion, mold, wet or dry rot. *Mechanical breakdown or an already existing physical defect. *Damage caused by freezing, thawing or pressure of water or ice *Etc, etc. And then the change in the policy language that I had never seen before as an exclusion: *Damage caused by birds, vermin, rodents, insects, domestic animals, or SALTY! Gilligan, there are just some things you must assume the risk for on your own! ;D ;D ;D Good luck fishing this week! Awespray Keep a tight line!
