So I think I see something new.
If I start a thread I can click on exalt or smite the person when someone responds to it. I clicked on exalt when mojo responded and I think it gave him 1 Karma point.
I believe the way it works is when you hit a specific number of Karma points... there’s no money. But when you die, on your deathbed, you will receive total consciousness. So we got that going for us, which is nice

I was wondering what that karma thingy was all about. I was scared to just press the options in case one made me explode. Good to know there is something else besides Heaven waiting for most people when we croak out if enough karma points are accumulated. I somehow think I'll be deep in negative numbers before this is all said and done though...

Uh oh, I never considered the negative aspects. I think we can only give out one exalt or smite per user though. I better not let Kevin hear me talking about Karma

Kevin hasn't seemed to find us yet. It wouldn't be the same around here without him though. If he's not here by deer hunting time, I'll ping him. I need him around here come hunting season...

That is not good karma for 6 people to smite thee..... I have +4 Karma and I have not even posted a fishing report yet. Thanks to the unknown users who have refrained from smiting me so far. I like gla feedback at least you can see who hates you Clam I would have given you an exalt but it disappeared as soon as I clicked on exalt for mojo. I am confused

We can’t see who is smiting or exalting you. At least I don’t think we can? As clam said you can keep smiting or exalting once per hour. I think it shows who is popular by how the group decides to use their hourly smite or exalt. A pretty non meaningful rating system if I may say so. Now if you smited someone and they could not post for an hour that would be interesting … The old rating system was a quick way to encourage people to post. Now we will need to remember to reply with a quick “thank you” or “good post” to people that spend the time to post detailed reports and entertaining items. There is another site that I posted on and I would post my entire spreads, exact locations, speed, catch info and anything else I could think of to help the members find fish. I would get 500 views and not as much as a hi, bye or kiss my…… well, you know what I mean.

As for me I have never been on a site with more helpful and friendly people. And to find one that compares you would have to look long and hard. IMHO

I argee with scrapper. I was around way back in the day when we tried to figure out how to keep the bots from filling the board with ads everynight. That is at least 8 or nine years ago. The site is very helpful and if the wind ever stops blowing I will get out and be able to post a fishing report instead of talking about Karma 1 exault for Scrapper!!!
