Went only 3 for 7 all smaller coho. Dodger and flies 20-30 feet down on the riggers and 90 on the dipseys. Only one on a Carmel Dolphin on a slider. Started 45 20 and ended up 50 16. Went looking for Lakers, marked a bunch, but no hits. Hopefully next weekend will be better. PS - The Flies are back!

Their bite hurts worse than a horse fly. The only thing I have found that works against them is the 100 percent deet. Off and deep woods, cutters aren't worth 2 cents when it comes to wart off those flies. I have noticed they seem to get worse as the day heats up. Also they appear to be worse closer to the rocks. it is amazing on how they bite through a pair of jeans. They are super flies. You have to be crazy trying to work on a tan with only a pair of shorts on. Hope to be out there looking for those perch later this week. |
