Jimbo, sorry for the inactivity and help, I use the Wisconsin site as it is my hometown but if others would post info it would be a great help to everyone, even those who choose not to post. These message boards are a great vehicle to pass great info and help others.I have guesses as to why very little input is put out there, but the sad part is that some may just not want to share information that would help others. That would mean some other people like friends, parents, kids may get out there an catch a couple fish that were earmarked for a big old twin engine boat with eight cases of beer, 500 spoons upriggers, downriggers, outriggers, inside outriggers and enough poles out to make it look like a porqupine, and we cannot have that! Best of luck to you and if I did have some info to pass to you, you bet I would!

Thanks circleman... it is odd to me why people wouldn't want to talk about current conditions or good lake to fish or a technique.. blows my mind.. but thanks for ya feedback.. Do you have any good lakes to fish in Wisconsin.. i am a Bass junkie but willing to try Walleye.. done alot in Canada..but would like to attempt in USA... not much of a Jig and Minnow guy.. rather a cast and retrieve.. more fun

Not many fishing sites up here as I have only lived here a few years,. But we fish the Menominee river at the Michigan boarder 30 min north of marinette. Family has been going there for years. Nice smallmouth. Was there the second week of Oct last year and they had the feed bag going. hitting rapalas and other crankbaits around weedy areas in 6 ft of water or so. Can catch them all year on live bad but mid Oct casting lures was the only way. I did get out once fishing of Milwaukee in July after reading up on the wisconsin site, and got a few on leadcore and spoons. don't have the equipment quite like the others, but it was enough to make some things happen. people in the boat were too nervous to try to go to 150 fow, too far from shore, so we only found a few out there. Probably will give it another shot soon though. Google Jim Hirt, he does charters but has some good articles to get some info from. good luck!
