Anyone heard of any thing being caught in the streams yet? Every thing else has been early this year, so it wouldn't surprise me.

Steel heads have been in the creeks for several weeks but no great numbers. Kings started showing up within the last few days.

I have been watching the water temperatures, but it has been difficult to see if this weather change has brought more steelhead or salmon in. I live 3 hours from trail creek and have been planning a trip to the harbor. Can anyone offer any help? I generally flatline troll stickbaits, magnum wiggle warts, and a spinner or two.

I decided to check out the fishing area off of Navaho Trail off 149 yesterday. The hill to get down to the river is very steep and muddy, not to mention the large boulders that you have to climb down once you get down to the dam. I can't imagine doing the trek with a pole and gear.
Is there an easier way to access the river from there?

I was at the same area today, take the trail with the rope to get down and back up. Fished several other areas down stream with no luck, but did see some fish moving.

First timer, I plan on giving it another try. I stayed at the Blue Chip Hotel in March and fished from the park across from the parking garage. Caught one bass and hooked something big that broke my line. Is that location good for salmon?

Hello all, This is my first post and I'm looking forward to all the great info from everyone. I got out today at the mouth of trail creek, with some success. We went 2 for 3 on salmon and got a largemouth as well. We were trolling from 6-8am. We were marking good groups of fish and saw several shore fisherman fighting some fish as well. Good luck to all and get out there and catch some fish. ;D

DNR report looks good today. Sounds like it should be a good weekend if this cooler weather holds!

Went to Burns Ditch on Saturday mid-day and Sunday Morning; casting various spoons. Caught nothing. One bunch did note that they had had some success on Saturday morning.
Went to MC pier on Sunday evening, from ~5pm to 7pm; again casting various spoons, crankbaits, and spinners. No catches. Saw a boat trolling the canal that caught a couple. Also saw some large odd-looking fish swimming very tight the breakwall, just below my feet. Any ideas?

Got out last night to the MC harbor from 430-7:30pm. Talked to another couple of boats out there and said they didn't get a bite all day. We trolled in the channel and out to the mouth with one fish to show. We went 1 for 2 bites. A nice 15.15lb king. Planning on going out again possibly Wed or Thur depending on the weather. Dangerous waves today and tomorrow out there. Good luck.
