went out with my perch fishing buddy on my boat on wed aug 1st .bottom line no marks ,no bites no fish. From front porch out of ditch to 50 ftow to donut area to Dunes Acres. 8 ftow back to 50 ftow.Bait shop guy at Slezs baits in Lake station was cool,he said do not buy a lot of minnows because perching was slow to nill.Good people to patronize.Honest people.Average water temp was 78.6 Degrees to over 82 Degrees.Discharge area at boaters beach rose over 86 Degrees. much to warm if i did catch a perchie he would be poached like an egg. lol good luck to all

A few years back in early August, when the water was warm but not this warm, Pastrick Marina would arract perch into the marina and out in front. Cold water pockets would form and move into and out of the marina area depending on the wind. I remember the temp was 10 degrees cooler in a small area and that was the difference. Another report indicated they were there one day and not the next. Maybe it is setting up for cool pocket(s) of water granted the wind doenst shift N -SE?

I think with fishing being really slow, most folks don't have anything to say.
