Hope you had good luck on Saturday. The bite really slowed we are in the period when the lake is turning over. The water temp is ok. I liken the fish like birds...they migrate like canada geese and I do not know why the move even when there is bait fish and cold water. I know there usually is a big bite...the kings hit on monday and were gone by mid week. There as some stray coho..most are over by chicago. there are decent numbers of steelhead. So we targeted Steelhead..200 copper and riggers down 50 feet were good on 22 June. We shared our numbers with others...most boats ended up with 4-5 steelhead. 60-70 feet of water. Bite usually is shutting down around late morning with a noon bite..then nothing. If you are driving 3 or more hours plan to fish in the evening and the morning. I would NOT drive for one day of fishing. There is a big blow the next two days so fishing will be off. Hopefully Thursday or later in the week will be good. Of course catching lakers out in the 90 foot of water is a no brainer.
The key is..you have a choice to run long lines and find fish or you can use your electronics and figure eight over the bait fish with riggers.
