I have a 2001 Lund Fisherman with a inboard mercruiser and outboard kicker. I have two throttles, trim buttons, on/off switches. Occasionally, the power/controls to my kicker don't work. I can't trim it up or down or start it. To fix, I don't do anything but drive the boat a bit further (using the main motor), and try it again and the controls are working back as normal. I'm at a loss for what this could be, I've looked for loose wires, etc and can't find anyone. Any ideas anyone?

I'd check the main wires going from the kicker to the battery. Check for loose connections, connectors, or corrosion. Take them off and check/clean them. Also, is there a power supply running from the kicker forward to the controls? If there is you'll want to check that out also. I'm just guessing, not much experience. But I'm sure someone else here will have some good advice.
You might want to post this question over on the GLA board and hope that Hondacat answers. He's both knowledgeable and helpful.

Check battery connation first,
Look for any corrosion, all along the line…my gut instinct…power lead wire…someplace…keep looking, it can be small, usually at the battery though, clean the posts and connetors

First. check/clean battery connections
Second. check connections in the motor around the fuse. they might need a cleaning or the fuse might be loose
