Fished East Chicago this morning in the big blow. No Coho but 5 Browns of which 3 where dinks. other 2 where 19 and 21 in. Saw about a dozen boats fishing for perch east of the Inland wall in 40 F.O. W. ONLY a small numbers and some none..by 10:00 winds kick up to 40 mph..made boat control a little fun I did better at the dirch last Wednesday

Went big on the Cohos last week. Limited out with 4 guys. Non stop action. Maybe had a 10 minute break once. Only saw one big king my 9 year old lost because I didn't net it fast enough. Little bugger got em right to the back of the boat and I had my smaller Coho net and could not reach before the old head shake and spit. Won't make that mistake again. It was his first big king. At least he is motivated to hunt it down next time. Did better away from the walls then right on them.
Sunday got out late but didn't see as many Coho's but caught some nice small to medium size browns. Went 7 for 10 and had to go. Mostly on the Dipsey's this time. Cohos on top.
Limited out several days last week also. Mostly on top with Orange/Tiger pattern Brad's thin fin's on boards. Also dipsey's with any kind of small red or orange spoons. We used the small stingers. Only tried one rod with Dodger/Fly and got bit a little. Thinking the warm up pulled them out farther or I just wasn't in the right spot. Didn't have time to hunt them down.
Anyone try the Calumet Harbor break-wall or try a little deeper? Going to poke around there tomorrow if it's slow. I'm thinking this extreme warmth is making more top water comfortable for them in a wider area and just spreading them out more or moving them to deeper/colder water.

Went out today and boated 6 cohos. Most came out past the hole. I believe most of the fish have already moved to deeper water. Hits came off of orange spoons and a three inch jointed fire tiger all off boards. Tough fishing but a great day.

Where is this "Pastrick" you speak of?
Can't find anything on Google Maps

It's the East Chicago Marina by Ameristar. If your looking for coho's it's about a 12-16 mile run north/northeast. Drop lines when you hit 75' of water and troll deeper. You'll know once you find them.

Turns out I work right next to it. I knew it sounded familiar.
Anyways, sorry to say I don't have a boat, so I'll be shore fishing or at the plant intake on the northeast corner most of the time. Any suggestions there?
I'd love to go out on a boat with anyone if they don't mind though
