Shore fishing

Hey guys,
I'm new to the board, and limited to the shore.
I'm looking for a good spot to fish between Evanston and Glencoe. Any recommendations about a location or what to use? I've got an 8' spinning setup, and will probably look to cast spoons, rapalas, mepps for brown trout or whatever else is close enough.

new to board also. board was harder to register to than a bank. piece of crap site for info on shore fishing. going to waukegan harbor soon. rte 132 into harbor area. allot of spots from shore there. should get some coho.
