I went to the Milwaukee Boat show yesterday. Seems like it gets a little smaller every year. I've got a G3 deep V aluminum that currently has carpet on the main floor area. I'd like to take the carpet out and replace it with vinyl floor. I'm wondering if anyone has done this, and what I can expect for problems. One of the things I'm concerned about is will the vinyl cover the imperfections in the floor if there are any. Obviously the carpet is a little thicker and will cover them better. Thanks

Why not leave the carpet and then make a vinyl tray or insert that you can lay down when you are out fishing. This way you could remove and wash it when finished. I have a vinyl floor which is awesome for fishing but when the wife and I are out with friends cruising it would be nice to have the comfort of the carpet. I have even thought of getting snap in carpet. Just an idea.
