As Steve o so kindly pointed out I don't have any friends so how are solo trips on the islander without an auto pilot?
Steve o FYI I have tons of friends they just can't be seen by people. I mean I have a darth vader tattoo who wouldn't want to be my friend?

When I'm solo I often wish I had an 18 or 20 footer. I guess its two footitis.. in the other direction. Wind can make the 22 footer with cuddy a little difficult to control.. although the 15 Hp kicker combined with a wind sock helps alot. I was out on LBDN yesterday in 15 MPH winds from the dead south... 2-3 footers.. solo.. and I wouldnt have tried trolling into it.. but was able to follow the break from 12 to 30 feet very nicely with slight tweeks to the wheel and winsock. "Oh... no Keeper eyes, all 13-14 and 3/4 .. except for two smallies around 15" each"
Again.. I dont own an Islander.. and they do ride and handle a little better then the Sylvan. Must be a subtle hull design advantage???

LBL .. didn't say you didn't have friends .. just that you seem to not be able to find anyone that wants to go when you do ...

Hey LBL, when I run out of beer and pickles my friend list gets real small.
On a boat note I recently bought a 22' starcraft supersport and am rebuilding it. What I found out is the hull is very well built, and of the thousands of rivets only 1 is questionable. If you like to fish early or late in the year, get one with an outboard.

Two events need to occur before I can buy a new boat.
1. I must sell the Lund. 2. I have to figure out where I am going to keep the islander both in and off season. 3. I have to convince myself that selling the lbl is the right thing to do. I mean she's paid for, has the gear I need, fits in the garage, and sucks barely any gas.
