Fished last evening in Portage. I was lucky to get a hole early and claim my keep. Threw a spinner / copper blade squirel hair tail and had a quick follow up by a small King. No takers with that. Next an orange spinner. One follow again this time by a Coho. No takers. As others watched we chatted & I saw one of them had spawn. Since I forgot mine I figured to let them and see what they can do. Bingo a quick coho and a nice steelie.
Kings are staging not far behind. I figure in the ditch or just outside. Good luck.
Please remember to pick up your trash and stay out of the water if possible. The mud drifts downstream.

They are calling for soaking rain Thursday. Should help. Friday would be better. Water is still warm needs to cool off a bit. Watch your back. Rumors of fishermen being robbed at Salt Creek last year.
