hi all,
just resigned up.hope to share info and tips on lake perch fishing out of portage in have not wet a line yet will be out today and the week end. And yes i am a real lake Michigan coast licensed 100 ton boat captain on my 5th renewal i am currently not running a charter operation at this time nor do i expect to. If any one has perch fishing info,lets share and swap stories. Hope to hear from ya all soon.Remember "keep your nose into the wind and keep a dry bilge"

Went out last week and saw nothing, only went to 50 fow though, same result farther west. Should be heading back this way pretty soon, this warm weather should bring them closer.

went out sat as planned weather was perfect .fished mouth od burns ditch ,donut area at nipsco.off of dunes acres,finally ran to Black Ditch near Mount Baldy. 10' to 50 ' ZIP-NADA-O Perch lol .Great day on the big lake with my buddy and the scenery was fantastic.Great day to be on the big pond.I went fishing not catchen,may be next time keep in touch. Captjohn
