me and the wife are coming up laborday weekend are the salmon far out or coming in

Don't know about MC, but they are in close at the Ditch, also out in front of Pasterick Marina with kings, coho, and steelhead being caught for the last couple of weeks. That could change in a hurry with this wind change and if we get any descent amount of rain between now and Labor Day weekend. Just keep checking the weather and fishing reports.
