Are the salmon still deep or can we get some near shore?

Still early for Kings near shore. Water temp the other day was 80 on the surface. But there could be a few fish showing up early near the second light like they have done in the past. Labor Day weekend is the typical start.

Have been catching kings and steelhead for the past week in the bay, no great numbers but that will change soon.

Thanks! Got a tip from Ralphie at Mik Lurch that there were steelies to be had in Portage. Got a nice 12 pounder and a couple of tens! Those babies jump pretty high, sweet! Attachments:
