When I was up there I went to the fishing cleaning stations..then took a walk on the peirs at the east end charter fishing boats and looked at their rods.
I also listed to the radio...
Meat rigs worked
baits way back on riggers as long as they glow...jplugs were hot and spoons with glow white for us

Read on the MDNR and Steelhead site the kings are hitting pimples in the harber...good luck!

Didn't do that well jigging, or throwing in the 8foot water. Ended up with 2 fish 17lba and 15 lbs. Atleast its somthin ( In Betsie Bay)

Fished Frankfort last weekend mostly trolled river mouth out to 55 fow. Went 3 for 4 all kings. Could not get J plug or spoons to go. All three fish came on pearl dodger with glow green squid. One on rigger set 35 back 35 down, the other two came on wire slide diver set 75' back. Saw alot of fish in harbor. Good luck to all. Perchfanatic!
