Now we're talking ... and I must admit, somewhat of a surprise to me as I wondered if we'd even hit 25 pounds ... a real giant tonight, 28.16 pounds off Washington Island's NW side ... green J-Plug down deep. A real happy angler ... his best fish in 15-16 years of fishing there. I did predict the GB side would pull off the win this year due to fewer fish there, abundant bait and water clarity not as crystal as the lake side ... but I'm surprised at the magnum size. Bring on a 30!

The island was due for a monster! Can this one be beat?

Nice fish! It's always easy to come out with prediction after the fact however. Great fish however, and I agree a 30+ #'er would be awesome!!
Good luck to those fishing - I'm envious! Looks like the boat won't see the water until mid-August! But - gotta send that tax money into pay for the loafers!! LOL

Awsome fish so far! gotta love the suspense in where the monster will come from!!
why cant they post the leaders on something other than facebook. The terms of service after i actually read it, made me not join. As i never will! I just want a normal HTML web update! GRRRR
anyways! nice fish so far!

Great fish but I would like to see more information on the KD tournament website on the daily port winners.
Like Kingspade, I also refuse to join Facebook. I want to keep my privacy and don't like the fact that Facebook CEO makes $2 billion a year off of the profiles of Facebook users. There's big money in collecting data that is extracted from every comment posted on Facebook.

FYI regarding Facebook, you can set up a dummy email account with Gmail or something and then register a dummy account on Facebook to read things like this. Just use a kinda normal name on the FB account, they sometimes filter out obviously fake names and delete them.

Wow, GREAT fish. I need to look back at my prediction for the size but I guessed it would come from the Salmon Capital of the World.
Add me to the list of people that will never be on Facebook or Twitter for that matter. I'd love to see results too on a standard website.
"would love to get more fans in a week than Wisconsin chapter of HSUS has assembled in a year!"
Maybe HSUS used some of that $6K our WDNR gave them (can you say idiots) to recruit??? Sleeping with the enemy - not good...

Agreed Mojo - I too can be added to the list that won't place accounts on the social networking "places". Clearly guys running this and other tourney's are much like the Salmon and bass they persue - attracted by bright shiney objects, w/o a grasp of the risks! LOL (I hope that wasn't being too negative). The WDNR is what it is - not about to get involved in their propaganda machinery. Just bief up the html web site and be done with it. Isn't NetSonic an ASP, providing more than hosting services to this tourney? Shouldn't really take much of an effort from a middle/high schooler to place some basic HTML on this site reporting daily weghts & measures as well as logistics (port information).
Not being negative or critical - just pointing out where it could be easier to just keep is simple.

Daily updates should be available on the regular site (they are being provided and if not already up, should be) ... Facebook just offers a quick and easy way to blog and promote the tourney, as well as get feedback from participants. Any business or org that isn't on Facebook is missing the boat. If I didn't buy or do something simply because I didn't like or trust someone or something, I'd be dead in the water. I'm certainly no Facebook addict, but I won't pretend it's not there and ignore it, either. Great way to keep read posts and see photos of friends/family near and far whenever you want to and also nice for businesses to keep their product "out there" to a tech-savvy generation. Facebook is more than a fad. It has more than 400 million active users. But, to each their own.

Glad to see a big King registered and sure hope to see a few more, maybe even one over 30lbs.
As for Facebook, no offense meant here, but regardless of whether there is 400 million, 500 million or 2 billion people registered already, you're still not going to see my name there. As far as I'm concerned, Facebook really is for the next generation!

And 10 years ago I bet none of you Anti-Facebook guys thought you'd be posting on LMA. It's nice to see pictures and such, with out getting an E-mail...much faster. More drama though...just befriend the right people, not every douchepon you know!

humane society of the united states is a rabidly anti-hunting, anti-fishing group.
