Launched boat at 6:15 and too rough to go out (thunderstorms over Manistee and to the south of Manistee -- strong SW wind). Put boat back on trailer and went to Lakeside Café for a fabulous breakfast. Back at boat launch around 8:00 and the wind had died-down...figured SW wind was a good thing. Set-up north of Frankfort in 180 fow and fished generally from 180 fow to 200 fow. Fished for only three hours and picked-up a nice 12 pound King on dipsy rod (no ring, set on 2.5, 155 back, white fishcatcher flasher and green fly). Transducer is broker, so I set the riggers from 40 to 90 down, but no action. Couldn't see thermocline, couldn't mark fish, and couldn't mark bait...kinda blind to what was happening below. Anyways, I consider a successful trip.
