Is the road construction on highway 54 still going on?

Yes. It is most likely going to be under construction all summer.

Easy way to avoid 54 construction. Keep going N on 57 about 2 miles, go E on Hwy K. Goes straight to Rio Creek.

Thanks fatcat. I suppose this is a freakin 5 year project like that mess in Green Bay. Anyone know if they are Ever going to be done in Green Bay. Every time I go thru Green Bay it seems to get worse instead of better. It should be a real treat with all the traffic this weekend.

Wednesday I had to take the detour basically coming from Tower Drive in Green Bay to Algoma. The road is blocked off at Cty T in New Franken to Cty P right now. The detour will make you turn left off of 54 and go down about 2 miles to K. Take a right on K and stay on it for 15 minutes or so and it will take you right back into 54.
To be perfectly honest I don't even know if I lost any time on K. Its such a straight shot compared the winding 54 and you don't have to slow down through Luxemburg and Casco. It was really no inconvenience.

It might have even been a couple of minutes faster.

Thanks again for the detour info guys. I used the County K detour into Rio Creek & no problems. Great road & not much of a hassle at all. Even the Green Bay roads seem to be slowly improving so that was nice.
