Does anyone else have any thoughts on the table fair value of trout grown almost entirely on Golbies? I personally have no objections to the taste of any of our trout species currently but I'm thinking our fish now are feeding on a diversified diet of Golbies, Alewives, an Smelt.

A good salt brine and 8 hours in the smoker and I'm sure they will taste great! I mean people still smoke carp and suckers... not that theres anything wrong with that.

How many hours from Green Bay to where you fish on Erie Terry?

It takes me 11 hours to drag my boat over but people from Kewaunee can make the trip to Marblehead Ohio in 9 hours. The fish there are not bottom feeders and the state of Ohio want fishermen to come over and fish. I start fishing as soon as I can get my boat in the water and have aprox a 18 mile boat ride to the fish. as the fish move off there spawing beds and migrate to the west I follow them.

That walleye fishing on Lake Erie sure is good, I have family that owns a house on Middle Bass Island, north of Put in Bay, We take the Badger over and drive from there, sure is a fun trip.

LOL....not sure about that, but there are enough trailers in the lots from different states every spring to know that Lake Erie is the walleye capital of the world.
We had a banger of a spawn in 2015....and 2014 was good too. The lake is now set up for the next 15 years in regard to walleye populations. Lord willing and the creek don't rise, our kids should enjoy tremendous walleye fishing on Mother Erie for years to come. We caught a few of the 2015's yesterday while perch fishing. They are about 4-5" long now...and HUNGRY.
