Great K/D Salmon Tournament this year. I could only manage 4 trips, and I will do my best to remember what happened. (not going to happen). We did however put four fish up on the board, all nice fish from just under 17 to 19+ lbs Trip #1 Tony Castle, Cheryl Hoffman, Chris Klar and myself, 17 fish. Trip #2 same crew less Cheryl, due to illness, 15 fish. Trip #3 Tony, James Harbaugh, 15 fish. Trip #4 Tony, Ron and Steve Seilo, 20 fish. I didn't include the fish we turned the hooks on. Thanks to all of you for making this year special. Sorry I missed seeing so many of my friends this year. Hope you all had a great tournament. Take care, and God Bless.
J-plugs, spoons with dots and spent a bunch of time in 20 to 30 fow. Sorry if I ran into you at the cleaning station and I lied to you. If I didn't recognize you, you probably heard something like, just south of the can 100 fow and 50 down. Once again I apologize.

Very nice catches Scrapper. Always nice to get fish when you have people along. I give out any and all I know if someone asks. The only exception is if I am doing well shallow.(<40) Then I don't consider it lying, just not being real truthful.

Thanks Griff, I agree totally with you on the skinny water deal. I do feel bad about lying to people, but it also wasn't my boat. After the 23rd of August I am free to fish, hoping to get you out for some laid back fishing. Only 6 trips this summer, ouch!

For this week with a ton of traffic I would have done the same when they are so shallow. Otherwise I share and show lures, hell I give people fish when they had a tough weekend. But last week....you did what I would have done. And thats not a money deal, just a peace of mind fishing alone deal. Nice work. Honestly I dont wanna run a king spread in that shallow. Pop any other species in there? Bows, lakers, maybe a smallie?

We had the whole shoreline to ourselves right out of the harbor. As far as what we caught, I had a migraine through every trip, and was on Oxycodone through it all. I do remember having a good time despite the pain. Thanks for everybody's understanding, especially the guys I fished with.

Nice work scrap & your crew. I did sniff 35 ft one day at 9am one day after the bite went slow. We managed 2 fish in there. Fact is I need more mono lines. 2 years ago I picked up a 200 & 300 copp for deeper fish. This year I added another 3 color and a 450 copp for the deeper waters but I used the 450 twice. Now I need more mono rods for when they come shallower than shallow?! Eesh....I suppose next yr they are gunna fly....gunna need new rigs for that! They keep me on my toes and addicted either way

It was Gilligan and crew. Blackout, that is why my shallow stuff is 2 plain lines and my core is .5, 1, 1.5, 2, 2.5, 3,and 3.5. That's 9 skinny rods, and ready for chaos.

I will admit that it is not often you get to use it, but when in need you look like you were thinking. That is an accomplishment for me. . Thanks
