You said it! Scrapper and I watched 5 boats pass a guy with motor problems getting beat up in the rocks so we helped out without hesitation.....feel pretty good about ourselves. . . . why not........ also told the guy to pay it forward...... its just a matter of time that it could be one of us that needs the help.

When fishing gets tough, the sharing of information gets to be a dicey situation. I've seen some of my friends get burned over and over again by guys who are always looking for reports, but fail to share any information that they have in return.
Just remember this: Shared information doesn't have to always include a box full of fish. Location, depth, speed, conditions, temps, current, presentations....all of that is valuable information whether it brought fish to the net or not.
Forums such as this on have seen a steady decline over the past few years. Facebook has really changed the game in this regard, as you can share your action with your friends, and your friends only.
Hopefully the fishing picks up soon with the warmer weather that is forecasted over the next week.

The guy on the rocks was going out of the Kewaunee harbor. The point I was making was, being helpful not only increases the chances of someone helping you out, but its a also an opportunity to feel good about yourself for doing the right thing. sometimes its easy.....like this time .. and sometimes it isn't............kind of like fishing...... too much drama......just be NICE to one another.

Don't take this personally but doesn't anyone enjoy the fishing part of it at all anymore? I always hear people complaining when they don't land on a box of big fish everyday but when I ask what they did the answer is always the same. We went to one area an worked the same baits as always. What happened to the thrill of the hunt. Using unconventional methods to outsmart our prey? We all have boxes full of baits some still in the packages but we all generally run the same baits. I know alot of you keep detailed notes as I do, but do you ever look back to similar conditions an try the tactics you used the last time you did well?
The word Fishing implies the hunt, sadly I think that was lost in the good years of the past an what everyone is looking for now is called CATCHING.
I don't always land on fish, but I do ALWAYS learn something from every trip
With that being said Don't run with the pack an expect different results then the pack. Get out an find water that's not getting pounder morning an afternoon an start playing with new techniques. Your gonna make messes an gonna break/lose stuff but the experience of putting together a huge cooler on your own your way is far more rewarding then going to the pack an doing the same thing everyone else is.

Shypoke, as for myself, I would never run by another stranded boater. Just the way I am. Next time it could be me. I would hope that fellow boaters would render aid

I actually forgot about helping that guy out, but Shypoke is right. What in the heck is going on with people, is it that important that you get out fishing that you can't stop an help someone out. If you passed this guy up in Kewaunee last week and you are reading this, You suck!
As far as sharing info on this site JP, you are right. It seems that most of the reports are coming from the same people. With me you get what I remember, and Blackout is right there are a lot fewer fish than the old days, and you need to be somewhat willing to put in the extra time and think outside the box. Sorry, but people are not going to share like before. Take a look at society as a whole, it has become a me, me, me place. I wish it wasn't, but it is.

Just one bait catches all the fish all the time........you can use any spoon you want as long as its the green one right. I got this crazy idea........lets have a weird bait contest to video the weirdest bait while landing the fish then vote the ones you think are the weirdest.... like a KO taking a lake trout. just saying it is cool to see when thinking out of the box (pun intended) lands a fish. nuf said .......someone post that video "dock like a boss" now that's the good stuff!,.... funny
