Im Just gonna jump on this thread... worked 12 hour nights got to the landing to find geese walking on the skim in the river, slowly (emphasis on slowly) slid the boat in (ive smashed 1 set of trailer lights on ice in that river) and began our journey. Lake was somewhat nice till bout 9 am when the wind picked up, worked south of the harbor with a 6 line spread consisting of some light cores and keel weights. managed to go 3 for 4 with some excellent size smoking browns. i sadly lost the wager for lunch only catching 1 on my 3 lines. pulled pin at 145PM dominant spoons were old junk (flutter spoons and evil eyes) had this guy cross infront of the boat in the river then again I could go to the wolf My reports from new london yesterday were not the best which is why i chose browns To be honest I Never ate musky but I'm guessing id also like it better than browns, do they taste like a big northern ? (One of my favorites)And while were on the subject what's a sturgeon taste like ? Muskys and sturgeon both are better eatting when there small, and muskys have a slightly off taste vs northern. i like to take the big muskys and just pickle em and tell people there big pike Jlars please don't leave i cant wait to see all the photos of huge catches this year and read all your detailed reports

I don't see releasing a blood bath that had a stick bait in his mouth. Keep what you intend to eat, or the casualties from the buried hooks. And it's a little early in the year for bickering, boys. It's the end of the world as we know it

I was just thinking, wasn't a few years ago that the Brown trout were being blamed for over eating the perch. How many does the DNR put in the lakes and percentage caught compare to salmon released and caught. Are that many people fishing for browns? Is this a fish that goes mainly uncaught?

I have never fished for browns. I need to make time for it. Always thinking walleye this time of year...

I suspect they plant browns to create more shore fishing opportunity?
