I've been watching the camera and it seems like the fog hasn't lifted for days. Is it as bad as it looks or does it clear up offshore? I'm hoping to get my first trip of the year in soon but it just doesn't look like it's worth the drive over.

I've been waiting to go over to,but it seems like for at least a week there's fog. Morning and night.A lot of times you couldn't see the lighthouse. There's a big discussion on Great Lakes angler on kayak's fishing in the fog. Sounds like they can buy something to but on that reflects radar. Guess I can see that it may be fun, but why they would go out in less than perfect conditions is crazy.

Do kayaks show up on radar? I would half to tune mine in to pick up a kayak, but then id pick up a lot of clutter,my radar dome is pointed in a way that if theres a 1 ft chop the screen lights up,were careful coming in at night with the full moons because most boats arent look for boats coming in.

watch out for kayaks out there in that fog --- apparently that's the new thing Great, more stealth fighters to look out for. I've seen the results of a boat getting ran over at night and it's not good, but I can't imagine there would be much left to see if a kayak got ran over in the fog or dark.

Those kayakers aren't just fishing nearshore either...that dude was out past 120' if I recall correctly. In the fog...with no lights...at 4:00am in the morning.

Monday I couldnt see the bridge from the docks at Kewaunee and last night I was all geared up and ready to go looking at the mile marker and beyond. 10 minutes later I lost my truck in the parking lot. Its super annoying especially when its dead calm for us little guys to get a smooth ride in, but not worth it to go out in that junk.

Fished in dog once, never again. Just about got hit by another boat. That and it's like fishing in a closet.

Took the boat out for a test cruise on sun eve...fog was thick..didnt see any kayaks, however every boat that was on the radar did not have radar. Did not seem to slow any of them down though...
seen 4 boats under full throttle heading back to harbor...
worst part about radar is knowing you can see the other guys and they cant see you...at least you can brace yourself for impact I guess
