The walleyes are starting!! We fished Fremont this weekend and didn't even get trapped by the ice (unlike last weekend). We only boated 12 eyes in 2 days but most of them were big females that went back in. We had a 9, a couple of 8's, and several more 5-6's. We did get 5 eaters and there will be many more of them in the coming weeks.

Few buddies had 8, 1 released in New London yesterday. I had 2 an missed 2 by the Shawano dam this morning. On a side note the Shawano dam closes April 15th thru May 15th for the sturgeon spawn, an there sure are a lot of them up already.

I tried New London for a few hours after work tonight and got 2, one spawner released and the other is going to dinner. Some of the guys anchored and working jigs were doing pretty good. The water was up to 41 degrees already. Hopefully it'll rise another foot or two pretty soon to get the spawn going.

They were opening the dams when I walked into work at 630 tonight... I'm sure the water will be up by dawn for you
