We found some fish in 225'-250' on an afternoon trip yesterday. The hits were spread around on everything, 300 copper(30# and 45#), 10 color, mono dipsy, and a 55' rigger. The rigger took 3 or 4 hits with Crabface RV in the mag size, everthing else only got one or two hits. Our pound ball and wire dipsys were dead, even though last week the wire was hot. All but one of our hits came on a southeast troll, we just couldn't get anything going in other directions. We ended up 6 for 9 plus a couple of drive-by hits. Hopefully we'll get a few more calm days like yesterday before I have to put the boat away for the w****r. (I couldn't even type it)

Nice Job Fishoil, the day really started out calm. I hit up Bago again for some perch and walleye, another good day.

Nice Job Fishoil, the day really started out calm. I hit up Bago again for some perch and walleye, another good day. The perch fishing has been pretty good out there for the past month or more. I haven't had time to fish them much but I did manage to put a few in the freezer a couple times when we couldn't eat them all fresh. The Wolf should be turning on for walleyes pretty soon too.

Yes that sounds great, but the last time I was on the Wolf I got it handed to me. I will give it a couple more tries. If you have any starting points, like even a launch that would help. Thanks much! I really do like the size of my boat for Bago, and if I can get a handle on the electric steering on my bow mount I should be OK. This is my first time with that type of steering, and I hate how they over steer sometimes.

Practice, practice, practice..... There's no downside to it. I'll let you know when the Wolf gets going for walleyes, the crappies are already started. This rain is good, now we just need some colder weather.
