So .. taking a break from soon to 20 hour day (I'm WAAAAAY to old for this) and thinking .. well dreaming about Sunday.. If a guy stays in close .. say 250 fow .. just how sporty would 25mph SW winds be? I WON'T run dipseys so I got that going for me right off the bat.

My son and one of his college friends went out of Algoma this morning(Thurs). 1-1 with a small salmon. They fished 140-200 fow. The harbor and river are pretty lonely. If the wind report is favorable for early next week I will attempt one last trip and then pull the boat. It was funny to watch my boat come in on the marina cam. He said there were pretty big rollers, but no chop. Monday-Wednesday mornings duck hunting the bay and Thurs. morning in Algoma salmon fishing. That is not the way I remember college, makes me believe in evolution! Can that big of a change take place in one generation?

Sunday is looking a little less sporty as long as you don't get up crazy early. Oh that's right, it's SteveO.

We need a Lake Michigan dictionary! In Kewaunee, leaving the dock at the crack of nine to noon is a "Steve O". In Algoma that same move is a "Buschwacker Pete". Old Codger, we will need an update when you get back to the keyboard. Hope you did as well as Time Out did this weekend at Algoma. He and his buddies went home with a 3 man limit. 130 to 280 FOW in and out, Magnum Moonshine spoons on dipsys and downriggers in top 100'.
