Sat. a.m. we went 2-4, both bows, fished under 175 fow. Knocked one off at the net on a #3 Chrome J on an 8 color down the chute. 2 on a 7 color board with a Moonshine Hot Lips RV. The other miss was on a 125' dipsey with a Ghost spoon. Did not fish Sat. night, went to Skaliwags and then listened to music at Shanty Days. Sun. we put down in 260' FOW and headed east. Put the last dipsey rod in the holder and it started to sing. 71' out with that same Stinger Glow Ghost, Coho (1-2). We got bites on everything but riggers. Boards, dipseys and 10 oz produced. A 7 color with the Hot Lips RV caught a couple. A 4 color with a blue bubble caught one. A wonder bread spoon on a dipsey took one, 91' out (1-2). A bloody nose RV on a 5 color took 2. A UV Green Dolphin on a 10oz ball took one. The 8 color down the chute with the #3 Chrome took a bow that was just over 14#'s on the scale at Captain K's. We trolled out to 360', had 3 in the 275-300' range, nothing more until we turned around and got back to about 300' we lingered in that area and then headed in and picked up our last fish at about 250' as we were pulling lines because the women HAD to go to the craft sale... We only had two licenses and eventually pulled the rigger for the 10 oz ball, at one point we also tried a clean bird with no luck. Overall it was the best catch of the season for me. 7 bows, one king and one coho. I could have stayed out all day, the weather and lake were beautiful. I think I am at 36 for the season, mostly bows. Last year I had over 80 by now, but I barely caught a fish in August or Sept.
