Nick, did you ever finish staining your deck last fall? ;D We decided to go perch fishing today but if I can find a crew for tomorrow I still want to go after some salmon.

You are right about the last years bite. I have two more adventures on video from Late October 2011. I did finish the deck but if you look close enough you can still see the splice.... LOL

FWIW; I got out Sunday in Kewaunee for a solo trip of about 3 hours going 0-0. Tried to wash every body bait in my salmon box (J-plug , Fast-trac, Silver Horde, Thin -Fin, ect) but Nada. Did witness 2 silvers being caught on the river side of the pier by casters.
Coolest thing of the day was seeing the 2 guys row trolling in kayaks by the mouth of the river. Was it any of you guys here? It's got to be wild to hook into a big king from a kayak.

Hey Tim, those guys on the kayaks were killing the cohos inside the pier heads. I witnessed one of the guys catch 4 fish..... had me wishing i had a boat along

one fish today, we were out 11-4 (brothers wife wouldn't let him stay out longer), got a rainbow on the DEEP rigger (130'?) while in 180 fow. that was it... didn't chart any fish from 80 fow to 140 fow... then they started showing up... the few boats out were all deeper than 200 fow...

Fished out of Kewaunee today from 6 am - 11 am and found fish in 230 - 270 fow along with tons of baitfish. We were 8 for 8 and tossed back a couple of shakers. 4 Kings (3 - 9#) and 4 steelies (6 - 8#). Regular size moonshine spoons on 5 color leadcore (1 fish), dipseys 80 - 120 LOC (4 fish), SWR riggers 45 -55' (3 fish). Nothing on F/F or j-plugs. Water temp was 60 degrees on the surface and 54 to 51 degrees down 60 - 80 feet. Best bite was trolling west or south.

sunday .. NOAA stated 2-4 with a 6 to 8 "occational" roller .. wind sites were 6-8 mph out of the NE .. we hit the water with 1-3's that went to 1 to zero .. so much for Noaa .. must be were the refs work during the week??
Went 0-0 .. only hit was a pile of bait ... started in 250 went to 350 and in to 150 .. no issues ... great day on the water.
